The Kids Fun Run gives young runners ages 3–12 their own moment to shine. This short, exciting 500‑meter dash starts before the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, so parents, family, and friends can cheer them on from start to finish. It’s their chance to feel the race‑day energy, experience the joy of crossing a finish line, receiving a medal, and build confidence with every step.

With every smile, every sprint, and every high‑five, we’re helping shape the next generation of awesome runners in our community.

THE BEST SUPPORT

Runners rave that the Sugar Daddy Race has some of the best aid stations in the industry, but it’s not just the stations. It’s the incredible volunteers who show up early, cheer loudly, and give their time to make your race experience unforgettable.

The course features six fully stocked aid stations, and depending on your distance, you’ll hit anywhere from 1 to 7 stops along the way. Each station keeps you fueled with water, electrolytes from our hydration sponsor Gnarly Nutrition, gels, chews, salt capsules, snacks, and more to keep you running strong from start to finish.

Not running this year? Come join the fun on the other side of the course. Volunteering is one of the most rewarding and energizing ways to support the running community.

HISTORIC BRIDGE

The Sugar Daddy Race takes you along the scenic paved paseos and trails that follow the Santa Clara River, offering beautiful views of the riverbed, native flora, and the greater Santa Clarita Valley. But the real highlight comes in the final stretch: every runner finishes by crossing the historic Iron Horse Bridge, creating an exhilarating, picture‑perfect moment as you charge toward the finish line.

Built in 1898, this iconic bridge has appeared in classic films like The Lost Boys and Throw Momma from the Train. In 2012, it was restored and repurposed as part of Santa Clarita’s trail system, giving it new life as one of the most memorable finish experiences in Southern California.

Crossing that bridge isn’t just a route—it’s a moment you’ll remember long after race day.

The Sugar Daddy Race will be on Father's Day weekend, Saturday, June 20, 2026, and start shortly after sunrise.

Check-In

Early check-in is located at the start/finish line on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM, then race day check-in on Saturday starting at 5:00 AM.

The race start and finish line is located at the Iron Horse Trailhead located off 25311 Magic Mountain Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
